A Happy August To You, Bakeliters,
Wow, a busy July, Bakeliters, filled with some great shows because we were playing for great people. I have some pictures and film clips for you below.
And this month, August, it’s the turn of the Bakelite 1920s Dance Orchestra, The Lounge Bar Lotharios, to be busy.
The Lounge Bar Lotharios is Sydney’s only authentic 1920s Dance Orchestra.
I sing songs like Me And Jane In A Plane and Let’s Misbehave. ARIA-nominated trumpeter Geoff Power conducts. And the band is pure Roaring 20s with Sydney’s Top Ten world-touring vintage jazz specialists – three hotcha horns, three sinful saxes and clarinets, piano, banjo, sousaphone and drums. It’s an upbeat show you can’t help but dance to.
There are two public shows coming very soon. We look forward to seeing you there…
