Family Connections To Phantom Dancer Radio Shows

Recently The Phantom Dancer has been contacted by family members of some of the singers and radio personalities presented each week on the show. So this week I’ve put up two sets of live radio featuring talent that some Phantom Dancers have a personal connection to – Lawrie Brooks, John Reed King, The Thrasher Sisters and Eleanor Russell.

Now, you can check out this show online (after 20 Sep) and hear earlier Phantom Dancer shows any time you wish over the next month by following The Phantom Dancer links at 2ser.com

And The Phantom Dancer Video of the Week – a WMGM NY ‘Doctor Jazz’ show aircheck of Ride Red Ride, Henry Red Allen, Stuyvesant casino, New York, 24 Feb 1952…

  1. Thanks for putting up a song by my mother Eleanor Russell, with Jimmy Dorsey at the Edgewater. I am just now seeing this so I suppose it is too late to access it? Anyway, thank you!!

    1. Hello Jayme,

It was my pleasure. Your mother is a great singer. I will put a track by you mum up on the 27 Jan Phantom Dancer show. Please keep a look-out. After the show goes to air you’ll be able to hear it online for a month at 2ser.com. Best Regards, Greg.

PS The tracks with your mother are from the CD ‘Live at The Edgewater’ with Jimmy Dorsey and Woody Herman. ‘ Sonic Foundry. I see it’s online at Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Edgewater-Jimmy-Dorsey-Woody-Herman/dp/B00000F1SZ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1419915147&sr=8-1&keywords=live+at+the+edgewater

      1. Greg, you are so kind! I will put Jan 27 on my calendar and tell my brother and sister.

I’m not very savvy about how your show works. Is it live? Do I just go to your website to access it?

Again, many thanks! And happy new year to you!

        Jayme
