Spike Jones TV Clip. Phantom Dancer Show 29 April 2014 and 23 September 2014

Hello Phantom Dancers,

This Tuesday, 12 noon, 107.3 2SER Sydney online http://www.2ser.com is the 101st national show, though The Phantom Dancer has been on 2SER since 1985.

This show is being re-broadcast for 23 September 2014.

To celebrate, I’ve put together for you a live 1920s-60s radio swing and jazz show like no other, mainly because every week is different.

Of particular interest, I’m sure, will be Duke Ellington’s Flying Saucer Ballet. Ruth Etting, Artie Shaw, Helen Forrest and Spike Jones will also be reaching out to you through time and space from their own 1930s – 40s radio shows – see the play list…

And Spike Jones and his City Slickers also feature on this week’s Phantom Dancer Video of the Week for you. And from his 8 May 1954 TV Show, too. Enjoy that Old Black (and White) Magic…
