SOLD OUT – the first 1920s Gin Mill Social for 2015 at Slide Cabaret, 41 Oxford St, Surry Hills. What a show! What a night! Greg Poppleton and the Bakelite Broadcasters opened the show with red hot 1920s jazz…
Chuck Morgan played banjo and ukelele and dueted with authentic 1920s singer Greg Poppleton on ‘Sweet Lorraine’.
Geoff Power romped and stomped on trumpet and sousaphone.
The immaculately 1920s dressed 1920s audience joined Greg in singing Irving Berlin’s 1925 classic, ‘Always’ and came up to the dance floor to go crazy on ‘The Charleston’.
The Gin Mill Social at Slide is a hot-cha night full of 1920s food, cocktails, gin and fun with amazing acts like Missy, aerialist and fan dancer, and Mr Gorski, juggler extraordinaire (you’ve seen him on ABC3)!
Be quick to get your tickets for the next Gin Mill Social, 7pm, Friday, 20 March.
