Sunday Dance at Cronulla with Greg Poppleton and the Bakelite Broadcasters

We love playing for the good people of Cronulla RSL They love their jazz and they love to dance!

I’ve posted some photos below for you of Greg Poppleton and the Bakelite Broadcasters entertaining with swing and jazz from the 1920s and 1930s at Cronulla RSL, last Sunday 15 May.

In the band: Greg Poppleton 1920s vocals, Grahame Conlon guitar, Dave Clayton double bass, Alex Inman-Hislop drums.

And we had a few sit ins: Damon Poppleton on soprano sax, Flynn Poppleton on drums and Bob Gillespie on drums. Bob was the drummer for Maynard Ferguson’s English Orchestra, Lovelace Watkins, the Glenn Miller and Les Brown Orchestras touring Australia and many, many more!

We also bring 1920s and 1930s razzamatazz to weddings, corporate events and birthday parties. Find out more from Tony.

Though we’re Sydney-based we can travel anywhere! In fact, all Greg Poppleton and the Bakelite Broadcasters musicians have performed around the world.
