13 Sep Phantom Dancer – “I’ll See You In My Dreams” Video

Here’s the play list and Video of the Week for the 13th September 2016 Phantom Dancer.

Because I’m filming an ad today, at the last minute I’ve had to replace the previously listed 13 September show (which is now the 27 Sep Phantom Dancer) with a hand-picked, bespoke, premium classic Phantom Dancer I hope you’ll enjoy.

For any newbies reading, what is The Phantom Dancer?

Well, you can hear today’s show here at 2ser.com

It’s your weekly non-stop 2 hour mix of swing and jazz from live 1920s-1960s radio and TV broadcasts presented by Greg Poppleton since 1985. The Phantom Dancer is produced in the studios of 107.3 2SER in Sydney where it is played twice weekly – Tuesdays 12 noon and Sunday 5pm. It’s also heard on 30 stations of the Community Radio Network across Australia.

The Phantom Dancer is online, too, so you can hear it any time anywhere around the world.

Past shows are archived for your listening pleasure at 2ser.com/PhamtomDancer

Your Tuesday 13 Seotember Phantom Dancer on 107.3 2SER kicks off with a set of branded musical program excerpts from 1931 and 1936. There are live radio Latin rhythms by Leon Kellner and Prado Perez and a set of Friendly Five Footnotes featuring Freddy Rich’s Orchestra from 1932.

The last hour is all vinyl.

This week’s Phantom Dancer Video of the Week is “I’ll See You In My Dreams”, the 1920s Cliff Edwards song played by Greg Poppleton and the Bakelite Broadcasters and which I sometimes use to close the national edition of The Phantom Dancer. It was filmed at Hekenua Bay on Waiheke Island is NZ while I was there singing at the International Jazz Festival there.

Make sure you come back to this blog, Greg Poppleton’s Radio Lounge, every Tuesday, for the latest Phantom Dancer play list and Video of the Week!
