March Newsletter – New Album Recorded

Hello Bakelite Broadcasters!

Greg Poppleton and the Bakelite Broadcasters recorded 13 hotcha 1920s – 30s songs last Wednesday for a brand new album we’re sure you’ll like. Mixing, mastering, artwork and packaging is still to be done. We’re aiming for a May release date. I’ll keep you informed of progress with each monthly newsletter.

Who’s playing on the new album? Well, you’ll hear Greg Poppleton, authentic 1920s-30s singer, Paul Furniss clarinet, alto sax and soprano sax, Geoff Power trumpet, trombone and sousaphone, Grahame Conlon guitar and banjo, and Lawrie Thompson drums and washboard.

The entire album was recorded between 10:45 am and 3:15pm on Wednesday 24 February with a 45 minute lunch break. So the feel is just like a high energy live show.

Last Wednesday, Greg Poppleton and the Bakelite Broadcasters, together with the team from Murder Mystery Fun investigated the mysterious death of Lord Muck at the historic Q-Station for a major international company.
