This week’s 2 hour non-stop mix of swing and jazz from live 1920s – 1960s radio has a set of swinging 1940s One Night Stands, a set of singers, like Eartha Kitt on the Guest Star series, and some 1890s classics swung by Artie Shaw and Duke Ellington on live 1930s – 1940s radio. Plus, the last half of the show is, as always, ALL VINYL. You can see the play list after the Phantom Dancer Video of the Week below.

Professor Julius Sumner Miller 1969 ABC TV Science series, Dramatic Demonstrations in Physics has been so popular that I’ve decided to rerun it. Also, I can’t get enough of the good Professor. So this week, it’s Episode 3, Newton’s Second Law of Motion. Enjoy!

Missed it? Hear it ONLINE NOW at 2ser.com until the end of August

On this week’s 2 hour non-stop mix of swing and jazz from live 1920s – 1960s radio you’ll hear live swing and jazz from 1920s-60s radio by Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, Jan Savitt, and Charlie and Jack Teagarden.

Plus there’re a few commercial sides including a 1930s side by Australian swing maestri Frank Coughlin and George Trevare, and a 1940s record by Mandopop singer Yao Lee whose song Rose, Rose I Love You is the only Chinese Pop Song ever to get into the top 3 in the US Charts. Also I’ll be playing Sets 7 and 8 left over from the 23 June Phantom Dancer.

Your Phantom Dancer Video of the Week is Julius Sumner Miller giving Dramatic Demonstrations in Physics on the matter of Magnetism. This is program 40, recorded at ABC-TV in Sydney in 1969. Enjoy…
