Greg Poppleton 1920s Band – Palmer & Co. 27 May

Saturday night, Greg Poppleton and the band, barnstormed Sydney’s underground 1920s nightclub venue, Palmer and Co.

I took a few snaps of the band for you. It was great to make so many new friends for the band and to meet so many interesting new people.

We kicked off at 9pm and the joint was jumping and crowded to 1pm.

Check out Greg Poppleton for your venue, wedding and party, too. Band website

Greg Poppleton and the Bakelite Broadcasters recently brought their 1920s hot jazz to Palmer & Co, downstairs, Abercrombie Lane, Circular Quay.

It was great to see couples who had not expected to dance at Palmer & Co, embrace and sway to the music.

I made sure that when couples danced the band played an easy moderate tempo.

The guys who moved synchronously to the oom-pa-pa of the sousaphone where fantastic.

And it was nice to get so many enthusiastic comments from people, all of whom were so pleased to hear real 1920s jazz with authentic 1920s vocals.

Here are a few snaps of the night. I didn’t take any of the audience for privacy reasons. And the first snap is from the Palmer & Co website, a group photo of the wonderful staff…

And remember, Greg Poppleton and the Bakelite Broadcasters would like to being the 1920s and 30s to your occasion, too. (Or email Palmer & Co and ask that we play there again.) Talk to Tony 61 2 9567 7171 | 0407 941 263 | tony@ozmanagement.com
